Private Offices
The new way:
Modular configurations

Advantages:
- Can be designed for wall-to-wall work surfaces
- No concern for fading or dye lot issues on work surface with future additions
- Office adapts to the user's work style; designed to fit the function
- Configurations are not typically based on a right- or left-handed style
- Adjustable to fit different personnel size
- Easier to utilize the vertical height of the space
- User is removed from the typical "power position" and into a more friendlier setting
- Walls can be used for support, which is more economical
- Configurations easily hide wires and cords
|
Disadvantages:
|
The old way:
Desks, credenzas and hutches; all free standing furniture (i.e. case goods)

Advantages:
- Simple to design and specify
- Very nice aesthetics
|
Disadvantages:
- Often built for a left- or right-"hand" office; only 50% reusable
- Weight - extremely heavy
- User must adapt to the furniture
- Not technologically friendly
- Often must be configured so that the user's back is to the office door

"I worked with several different vendors on our furniture needs and The ICE Team was highly professional, experienced, and helpful. These attributes won the bid. They do an excellent job!"
